When Matt and Danielle first approached me about shooting their engagement, I was 100% thrilled! During our initial meeting, I asked what they were looking for during their session, Danielle firmly expressed to me that since they were getting married on the beach, she didn't want their engagement photos to be super beachy. In her words, "beach in your face" haha. My brain immediately went to a botanical garden feel with aspects of the beach involved. They both loved the idea and Matt knew a perfect place -- this was good since I wasn't as well versed in the area they wanted to take their photos. Thus the "Self Realization Meditation Garden" idea was birthed.

We had so much fun and it was really awesome for me to see the playful, yet, timeless / classy vibe they had going on. As with all my couples, I strived to get them moving, bursting out of their comfort zone and help them feel comfortable being romantic in front of a camera. They were running into each other's arms, hopping over roped off areas (this couple was daring and I LOVED that!!), and I even took a dive into the ocean fully clothed with my boots and black skinnies on!

This was probably one of the funnest shoots I've been -- Matt and Danielle were literally down for ANYTHING I threw at them and that's something I want more of.
