The idea for a journal was birthed out of my love for writing. Growing up, I thought I was going to be an author and I always had journals tediously hidden in my room. I would pull one out every night and write how I was feeling, how my day went, the boy I was crushing on, how my friends had so many opinions on what was "cool" or "in". It became an outlet for me to express what was really going on in my heart and my mind. Where I couldn't articulate the words, writing helped me say what I always wanted to speak out loud. 

 

In the process of designing my website, I decided to add in a journal where I could tell the stories behind each photo. The struggles we went through to get the perfect shot, the joy my clients (friends) felt when they saw the finished product, and the process of getting from point A to point B. 

 

I want to share the raw, sometimes stressful, but always a privilege, sessions that honestly make my heart light up with so much joy. I want to let you into my heart and share with you my thoughts, emotions, and insights. Why? because I know that there is someone out there reading this and you, too, are sitting at your computer with a cup of coffee and a dream, and I want to encourage you to go for it. Really go for it. If this small town SoCal girl can do it, then so can you!
