You guys! I'm BLOWN AWAY by these pictures. I'm seriously sitting at my computer, right now, gushing over them --my husband is sitting on the couch looking at me like I've officially gone insane in the membrane. This beautiful, extraordinary woman needs to be a model or something because I can't even tell you how amazing she is. And not just on the outside, her heart is gorge too!

We had a ton of fun during this lifestyle photo shoot, thank you to her sister for letting us borrow her totally Pinterest-worthy house. I mean, come on, look at this place! It's something out of a Home and Gardens Magazine, right? I think that having fun during a shoot is super important for your client to feel comfortable with you -- plus, it leaves a lasting impression and you're not stuck being the boring photographer.

Some tips I have for my fellow photogs who are looking to spice up your shoots are:

   1. Be yourself! If you like corny jokes, tell them! If you think a certain pose or action would be super cute, let your client know! For this shoot, I asked Chelsie to pick up a book and start reading. It ended up being a super random tabletop book and we were cracking up the whole time.

   2. Don't try to make everything look superposed or put together. I really love authenticity in my photos and I always strive to create a relaxed environment so that whether I'm shooting an engagement, portrait, or wedding, my clients are doing things they would actually do in real life.

   3. Always remember that YOU are enough. Too often I find myself scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest looking at all the incredible photographers out there and I start thinking that I'm not good enough. But here's the thing, guys, I am good enough. We live in an image based society where we're constantly being bombarded with, "the next big thing!". I think it's time to step into who we are, stop trying to be something we're not, and keep running toward who we want to be. I'm ready! Are you?
